Quality is a vital asset for your business. And a promise to your customers. Quality routines enable you to guarantee the promised characteristics of a product or service.
After placing an order in the Far East, especially in China, the buyer either needs a trustworthy long-term relationship with the supplier. Or they have their own local staff, which may not be cost-effective. If neither is the case, ICS Engineering Services can be considered as a supportive partner.
ICS is ready to carry out audits and inspections on your behalf.
Supplier audit
The audit is used to evaluate and select suppliers. It looks at the processes and performance by which the buyer’s products are manufactured. A system audit (e.g. ISO 9001) covers the whole organisation. However, we typically apply a reduced audit scope, i.e. production and production-related management.
As a result, you will receive an audit report and a corrective action plan to be discussed with the supplier.
Quality inspection
Product quality control is most often associated with specific stages of production, such as pre-production (zero) or pre-shipment (100%). It usually takes place in the supplier’s warehouse (where the random sample is taken) and in the QC department (where the appropriate measuring equipment is located). The scope and type of inspection will largely depend on the product. Typically, one would test against the specifications mentioned in the purchase order. The number of samples and rejection method will be derived from the agreed Accepted Quality Level (AQL inspection according to ISO 2859).
ICS Engineering Services is familiar with different product groups such as tools, toys, furniture, etc. and the types of defects associated with them. As a result, you will receive a detailed inspection report (PASS/FAIL) with images.
